DINT ARRESTS CORVALLIS MAN ON COCAINE CHARGES

October 13, 2022 5:00 p.m.

In the late-night hours on Monday, the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team arrested a Corvallis man on cocaine charges.

Lieutenant Rick McArthur said over the course of an ongoing investigation, detectives generated reason to believe that 24-year Cory Strait would be in the Roseburg area and in possession of a large amount of cocaine.

McArthur said detectives located Strait and two other people in a vehicle pulling into a business at Kelly’s Corner on Highway 99S in Green, just before midnight. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed approximately six ounces of suspected cocaine.

Strait was jailed on charges of suspicion of possession, manufacture and delivery of cocaine. He was also found to have cite and release warrants from Linn County for probation violation and from Benton County for failure to appear.

After arraignment, Strait was held on $40,000 bail.

Information from DINT was released on Thursday.
