APPLICANTS NEEDED FOR SENIOR SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL

Applicants are needed for the Senior Services Advisory Council.

A release from County Commissioners Tim Freeman, Chris Boice and Tom Kress said county government is currently recruiting for nine positions:

*5 representing central Douglas County

*2 representing south Douglas County

*1 representing north Douglas County

*1 representing west Douglas County

Members of the council assist in identifying needs, evaluating programs, as well as planning and developing services for older residents in the county. Meetings are held quarterly on the second Wednesday of December, March, June, and September at 1:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse.

Residents who are interested in serving are asked to submit an application to the Board of Commissioners. Applications are online at: https://douglascounty-oregon.us/221/Boards-Commissions. Applications are being accepted until the positions are filled.
