DEQ AIR QUALITY ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT

October 12, 2022 1:40 p.m.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality Air Quality Advisory remains in place for Douglas County through the end of Friday.

The Cedar Creek Fire, near Oakridge, combined with northerly winds, is causing smoke concentrations to increase at times, leading to unhealthy air quality levels.

DEQ’s advisory said smoke levels can change rapidly depending on weather conditions. Check current conditions with the DEQ link: https://oraqi.deq.state.or.us/home/map
