The City of Winston is holding an Oktoberfest Tournament.

It will take place Friday September 30th through Sunday October 2nd. Tournament games begin Friday night at 6:00 p.m. Activities will take place at Civic Wayside Park and at Riverbend Park. Two-person teams can participate in activities like nail pounding, speed pretzel eating, a keg race, a stein race and more. The team with the best score from each tournament game will compete against each other on Sunday afternoon in the finals with the winners getting a $10,000 cash prize.

The tournament is a benefit for organizations supporting veteran suicide prevention.

Other activities include wiener dog races, and a beer garden. The VFW will be selling bratwurst, hamburgers and more. The Roseburg German Band will play each day at Riverbend Park.
