Eight Roseburg High School students have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs.
Information released Monday from Roseburg Public Schools said these National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications, as well as connect students with universities across the country to help them stand out during the admissions process.
The College Board’s four recognition programs include the National African American Recognition Program, National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program, and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program.
Colleges and scholarship programs identify recognized students through College Board’s Student Search Service.
Students who have earned special recognition include:
Anathyn Burton: National Rural and Small Town Award
Emily Larson: National Rural and Small Town Award
Holly Brewster: National Rural and Small Town Award
Jazlynn Landeros: National Hispanic Recognition Award
Keelin Johnson: National Rural and Small Town Award
Levi Shumway: National Rural and Small Town Award
