MOD PIZZA TO OFFICIALLY OPEN IN ROSEBURG WEDNESDAY

In the KQEN Business Spotlight:

MOD Pizza will officially open its new Roseburg location on Wednesday.

The grand opening will begin at 10:30 a.m. The first 50 customers will receive a free MOD-size pizza. Guests that sign up for MOD Rewards within the first month of opening will receive a free MOD-size pizza for their next visit.

Monday and Tuesday, it’s a sneak peak of MOD for the community, called Bridge Day. Customers will receive 50 percent off with 100 percent of all sales being donated to the MOD Bridge Fund. That is the company’s relief fund which helps employees, called Squad members, in times of crisis. Monday and Tuesday, the store is open for lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and for dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

MOD is also planning to have Community Day on September 29th. 100 percent of all pizza sales for that day will be donated to the FISH Food Pantry.

MOD Pizza was founded in 2008 in Seattle by entrepreneurs Scott and Ally Svenson. A company release said MOD is the pioneer of the fast-casual pizza category. Customers can create their own pizzas and salads with any combination of over 40 toppings and sauces, all for one price.

Approximately 20 employees have been hired for the new store, which is the company’s 525th location. The company operates in 29 states and in Canada. The Roseburg location is at 1176 Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, in space previously occupied by the American Red Cross.

Regular hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday’s through Wednesdays, with the store open until 11:00 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
