Pope said additional resources have been ordered, with a confirmed 8-person crew responding from the Coos Forest Protective Association.

Pope said of the fires, the largest is estimated to be 1 acre with the other fires estimated to be less than a half-acre each. 2 of the fires are on Bureau of Land Management Land, 2 are on Cow Creek tribal Lands and 2 are on private timber land. 3 of the fires are near Deadman Creek in the Tiller area, with the other 3 near the Cow Creek Drainage near Milo.

Wednesday evening Pope said the fires have been 100 percent trailed, plumbed and are being actively mopped up. Pope said crews will continue to secure lines until 100 percent of mop up is achieved.

Crews will continue to patrol the area. Aircraft may be used periodically throughout the weekend.
