COVID-19 has claimed 9 more lives, raising the state death toll to 8,219, as of Monday.

A release from the Oregon Health Authority said there were 1,944 new cases of COVID-19 between Friday and Sunday. 398 people are hospitalized, related to the virus, in the state.

The new cases include:

*381 in Multnomah County

*243 in Washington County

*205 in Lane County

*186 in Marion County

Locally, OHA said there were 15 new cases in Douglas County
