In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Spongebob Musical resumes Thursday for its second and final week at Jacoby Auditorium on the campus of Umpqua Community College, presented by Umpqua Actors Community Theater.

Based on the beloved animated series, in this production the stakes are higher than ever as Spongebob Squarepants and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. The musical features original songs by stars like Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, David Bowie and more.

Showtimes are Thursday through Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and older. Purchase tickets at www.uact-theatre.com or by calling 673-2125.
