There are two confirmed fires on the Umpqua National Forest.

Information from the UNF’s Facebook page said ground and aviation fire suppression resources are responding to the Windigo Fire. It is actively burning in timber near Windigo Pass off Forest Service Road 60 on the Douglas and Klamath County divide. The fire was estimated to be 100 acres, as of Saturday night. A portion of the Pacific Crest Trail is closed in the vicinity of the area for public safety.

A fire initially reported to be a half-acre in size has also been reported near Lemolo Lake.

More information as it becomes available from the Umpqua National Forest.
