A Heat Advisory for central Douglas County remains in effect until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, but has been updated as warmer conditions are now expected in some areas.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service said high temperatures of 90 to 105 degrees are expected. Overnight lows will be warmer than normal, mainly in the 60s. Hot temperatures can cause heat illnesses to occur.

An Excessive Heat Warning remains in place for the eastern Douglas County foothills, south central Oregon Cascades, the Rogue Valley and areas near the southern Oregon coast. Dangerously hot daily high temperatures between 95 degrees and 110 degrees for mountain elevations in Douglas County up to 6,000 feet are expected. For the Rogue Valley, high temperatures of 100 to 115 degrees in the valleys are forecast, with highs of 90 to 100 degrees at the mid-elevations and 80 to 90 degrees in the mountains.
