In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts is presenting its first Alumni Music Showcase on Thursday night.

It will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Whipple Fine Arts Building. The concert will feature former members of the Umpqua Singers who are currently pursuing professional careers in popular music. The first showcase includes Buddy Paprock, Cody Summers, Tristin Thomas, Juan Martinez and Stephen Metzig.

It is an all-ages event. Admission is $10 at the door. The concert is free for students. Call 440-4691 for more information.
