In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Elkton Community Education Center will offer a demonstration on Native American Flint Knapping on Saturday.

It will be a hands-on, interactive demonstration where those attending will be able to listen, watch, and do. A member of the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians will have examples of different types of stone, and teach what characteristics to look for when knapping.
