Umpqua Public Transportation District is accepting applications to fill one open position on its Board of Directors.

A release said the person appointed will serve the reminder of a term, which expires in June of 2023. Mark Hendershott resigned from the board effective June 8th.

The Board of Directors is comprised of seven board members. Each member is elected at-large by residents in the district to serve a four-year term.

Those interested can request an information packet, which includes details about the district, position, and the application and selection process, by going to the district office at 3076 Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard during weekday business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The deadline to submit applications for this vacancy is July 4th.
