MUSIC ON THE HALF SHELL STARTING NEXT WEEK

A patchwork sea of blankets is about to return to Roseburg’s Stewart Park on Tuesdays with Music on the Half Shell beginning the 30th anniversary season of free, outdoor concerts next week.

After canceling the series in 2020, and a shortened season in 2021, Music on the Half Shell is back this year for a full 8-concert lineup.

Organizer Clint Newell, and the Half Shell committee, unveiled this year’s lineup in May, and told News Radio 93.9FM and 1240 KQEN, that 6 of the acts are making their first appearance at the venue.

The series kicks off on Tuesday June 21st with Half Shell favorite Pink Martini

*World music artist Femi Kuti & The Positive Force July 5th

*Singer-songwriter Amythyst Kiah July 12th

*Bluegrass band The Brothers Comatose July 19th

*Blues guitarist Albert Cummings July 26th

*Eugene Symphony Orchestra and the Douglas County Youth Orchestra August 2nd

*Portland country/folk/rock band Blitzen Trapper August 9th
