A Roseburg man was cited after his vehicle throttle became stuck, resulting in an accident on Monday night.

An RPD report said at 11:10 p.m. 34-year old Justin Johnson was heading south on Southeast Jackson near Southeast Stone, when the incident took place. That caused his vehicle to begin to travel at a high rate of speed. Johnson reached down to attempt to pull on the gas pedal and left the roadway. His sedan hit the gate and the mailbox at a business.

Johnson was cited for driving while suspended-violation, driving uninsured and for failure of a previous violator to file. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed away. The driver was evaluated by paramedics and refused any sort of treatment.
