MAN JAILED FOR MENACING/ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office charged a man with second-degree disorderly conduct and for menacing on Sunday.

A DCSO report said just before 6:00 p.m. a 37-year old suspect was allegedly extremely intoxicated and got in a physical fight with a victim, in the 700 block of East Fourth Street in Riddle. A second victim reportedly tried to separate the two and advised the that the suspect was the aggressor. The second victim said he had to hit the suspect with a stick to get him off the first victim.

The report said after the fight the suspect was following the second victim around outside and that man was in fear, so he hit the suspect with the stick again. At about that time, a third victim showed up because the first victim had called him. The suspect allegedly came after that man and head butted him, so that victim punched him.

The suspect was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he received staples on his head. He was taken to jail. Bail was set at $8,750.
