Roseburg Police jailed a woman following an alleged DUII incident early Saturday.

An RPD report said just before 3:15 a.m. an officer was driving south on Southeast Jackson Street whey they observed a sports car driving east on Southeast Washington, going in the wrong direction., The vehicle then made a left turn onto Jackson and began going north towards the patrol vehicle, which was also the wrong way.

The report said the vehicle slammed on its brakes, then stopped ten feet in front of the patrol vehicle. The officer contacted the 29-year old driver who immediately said she was intoxicated and stated multiple times that she was “drunk driving”. The suspect consented to perform standard field sobriety tests but was so impaired, she could not stand on her own, so the tests were terminated.

The woman was charged with DUII-alcohol, having no operators license and for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Bail was set at $10,000. She was released later in the day.
