SHORE ACRES TO HOST CLEANUP EVENT

Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay will host a cleanup event on Friday June 3rd.

Park staff needs people from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to help get the park ready for State Parks Day on June 4th and Rose Sunday June 19th. Clean up work for the botanical garden will include weeding, trimming, mowing, mulching, painting, staining, picking up litter, and pulling invasive English Ivy.

Participants must register in advance by May 26th. Volunteers must be at least fourteen years old and will work with hand tools and move on gravel and uneven surfaces. Tools and other equipment will be provided. Those helping should bring drinking water and gloves and wear clothes suitable for current weather conditions.
