A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged burglary on Saturday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 10:00 p.m. officers responded to a report that a man was found inside a home in the 500 block of Northeast Alameda Avenue. After investigating, officers learned the man, identified as James High, had lived at that residence years ago. High had returned while the owners were out of town and was found sleeping in their bed.

The owners said the suspect stole iced tea while he was there and had damaged the doorknob during entry. High was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft.
