A vehicle was impounded after being parked near the South Umpqua River at Micelli Park.
A Roseburg Police report said one transient was arrested Sunday night out of the vehicle. A second transient decided to park the sedan in a grassy area where her camp was set up. She was hoping the first person’s vehicle wouldn’t get towed if it was there, according to the report.
To get that area, the suspect had to bypass bollards blocking the path, drive a few hundred yards down the bike path, then go about one hundred yards through the grass. The vehicle was towed to the lot of a tow company Monday at about 8:00 a.m.
