Roseburg Public Schools is seeking volunteers to help oversee bond projects and spending, if the May 2022 bond measure is approved by voters.

Superintendent Jared Cordon said if the bond passes, the district would establish an independent citizen-led oversight committee to help monitor the status of projects.

An RPS release said a Community Bond Development Committee was formed in August of 2021 to review the district’s facility needs and recommend a bond proposal to the school board. In February of 2022, the school board accepted the committee’s recommendations and unanimously voted to put the bond measure on the May 2022 ballot.
