MAN JAILED FOR WARRANT, FELONY AMOUNT OF METHAMPHETAMINE

A Roseburg man was jailed for a warrant, and for a felony amount of methamphetamine, by Roseburg Police on Sunday.

Information from RPD said at about 12:15 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Chestnut Street. The officer learned the man had a warrant for his arrest for a parole violation. At the jail, two baggies containing methamphetamine were allegedly found in the man’s possession. The baggies contained 5.0 grams of meth, according to the report.

The 60-year old was charged with unlawful possession of meth and for the parole violation. He was detained without bail.
