EUGENE AREA MAN JAILED IN ONLINE SEXUAL CORRUPTION CASE

A Eugene area man was jailed in an online sexual corruption case, by Sutherlin Police on Wednesday.

Captain Kurt Sorenson said that 47-year old Casey Johnson is accused of establishing an online relationship with a juvenile female. Sorenson said it is suspected that Johnson planned to meet the girl in Sutherlin. He was contacted there and detained on charges of first and second-degree counts of online sexual corruption of a child and for luring a minor. After arraignment, bail was set at $15,000.

Johnson was released from custody on Friday.
