The new Roseburg Visitor Center opens Thursday afternoon.

Dani Raines of Experience Roseburg says their team is excited to share with visitors what Roseburg and the Umpqua Valley has to offer, and to remind locals as well. Regular hours will be weekdays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The center is located in the Anvil Northwest Building, next to the U.S. Post Office on Southeast Kane Street in downtown Roseburg. Raines said the new space is contemporary, with splashes of technology and throwback memorabilia from Roseburg’s historic past. In addition to collecting local maps and brochures, visitors can plan their trip at one of the two i-Pad stations connected to www.experienceroseburg.com. Raines said their staff is happy to help visitors find local businesses, give out dining suggestions and provide a one-stop-shop for unique Roseburg apparel and souvenirs.

Thursday’s event will go from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
