The owners of a Roseburg restaurant say they were broken into on Thursday night, with cash and other items stolen.

Casey’s Restaurant owners Lance and Laurie Mounts said the person opening the building Friday morning was “incredibly surprised” when she walked in and discovered that the business had been robbed. In a post on the business’s Facebook page, Mounts said they lost around $40,000 in cash, all of their computers, plus some technology items, tools and more. Mounts said while they have been in contact with Roseburg Police, their security cameras were compromised during the incident.

The post said the cash stolen was the GoFundMe donations the business received for their fight with Oregon OHSA. This was for alleged COVID-19 violations in 2020.

Roseburg Police have not yet released any information on the reported break-in.
