A Sutherlin man was jailed for an alleged menacing incident by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

A DCSO report said at 8:00 a.m. the 34-year old was reported to be out of control after being asked to leave in the 15000 block of Highway 99 North, near Sutherlin.  The victim said he thought the suspect was using his knife to intimidate and scare him.

The man was charged with menacing and for a parole violation. He was held without bail.
