A 35-year-old Nevada man was arrested late Monday after a disturbance in the 1100 block of Southeast Stephens Street in Roseburg.

The Roseburg Police Department reports that officers responded to a residence around 11:40 p.m. and allegedly learned that Rocky Daniel Kerns had grabbed a woman by the neck.

RPD said that Kerns did not choke the victim but did apply pressure to the neck for about three seconds, allegedly causing a small red mark.

Kerns was taken into custody on a harassment charge and is being held on $2,500 bail.
