A Roseburg man is hospitalized following a high-speed crash early Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 5:15 a.m. 29-year old Salvador Valencia Junior was traveling east on Northwest Stewart Parkway when he passed an ambulance. Just prior to Northeast Airport Road, Valencia lost control of his sedan and ran over a large cement barrier, which caused his vehicle to roll multiple times. The car came to rest on its top near the railroad tracks and caught fire.

Valencia was trapped in the sedan until firefighters could extricate him. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. He is in serious condition according to a hospital spokesperson.
