Its also known as Washington’s Birthday. The day is set aside to honor all who have served in the office of president of the U.S.

Federal, state, county and city offices are closed. No regular mail will be delivered. Schools are not in session. Banks and credit unions will not be open. Some professional offices will be closed but most retail outlets remain open.
