COVID-19 CLAIMS 39 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 6,163, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 39 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 6,163, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 5,143 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 bringing the case total to 643,973.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 1,104, which is 9 fewer than on Tuesday. There are 193 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 15 more than on Tuesday.

The new cases include:

*628 in Multnomah County

*561 in Marion County

*511 in Washington County

*449 in Lane County
