A woman was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 5:30 p.m. an SUV was southbound on Lookingglass Road approaching Happy Valley Road, while a sedan was northbound. The first driver saw the second vehicle coming, and turned anyway, striking the front driver’s side corner of the vehicle.

The second driver, a female, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with complaints of pain. She was later transferred to an out of area facility. The first driver, a male, was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
