SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED ROBBERY AND THEFT INCIDENT

Sutherlin Police jailed a man for an alleged robbery and theft incident on Friday

An SPD report said at about 6:50 p.m., while allegedly attempting to flee from an employee after committing a theft from a business in the 1000 block of West Central, 47-year old Travis Maples physically shoved a 5-year old out of his way, and into a metal door.

The suspect was found and taken into custody. Maples was charged with third-degree counts of robbery and theft and for harassment. Bail was set at $7,500.
