COUNTY’S VACCINE PACE SLOWED LAST WEEK

The county’s vaccine pace slowed a bit last week, with 1,465 doses for the week ending January 22nd.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly Update said while 1,070 were boosters, there were 236 first time doses of the vaccine. The remaining doses were second and third non-booster doses. The Update said the current vaccination numbers are:

*For those 18 years old and above, 61 percent in the county are fully vaccinated as calculated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

*The percentage of the entire population in the county who are fully vaccinated as calculated by the CDC is currently 51.5 percent.

*For the entire population in the county, 39.7 percent are vaccinated and boosted. For those over age 65, 57.5 percent are fully vaccinated and boosted.
