An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect until 4:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said a period of stagnant air with light wind and poor mixing is expected. The Advisory area includes south central and southwest Oregon, along with nearby locations.

Forecasters said air stagnation could result in the development and persistence of deteriorating air quality.

State air quality agencies highly recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible.
