In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra will hold its Winter Concert on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

The free event will be held at Jacoby Auditorium on the campus of Umpqua Community College. Young musicians from around Douglas County will be performing for the first time in over two years.

Students age 6 and older will take the stage and display their talents on the violin, viola, cello and string bass. Musical selections will include a Telemann Concerto, Music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Finale No. 12 by Haydn, and the Pinery Boy-Reflections on a Wisconsin Folk Song.
