The Roseburg City Council meeting Monday night will have an early start.
The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. as councilors interview three persons interested in an open seat on the Planning Commission. Andrew Blondell, Stephen Krimetz and Janelle James have all applied.
During the regular meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Larry Rich will proclaim February as Roseburg Rotary Appreciation Month.
A public hearing will be held regarding a supplemental budget – an Off Street Parking Fund – establishing appropriation authority to manage the new parking enforcement contract.
Councilors will have first reading of an ordinance amending city code regarding noise disturbances.
The council will vote on purchasing property for use as a Navigation Center. The 7,400 square foot building at 948 Southeast Mill Street is currently owned by the United Community Action Network. That organization has agreed to sell the property for $270,000. The city has previously received a $1.5 million state grant to establish a Navigation Center by the end of June.
Other items are on the agenda as well.
The meeting will be held via Zoom. It can be watched on the city’s Facebook page or accessed later at: www.cityofroseburg.org
