COVID-19 CLAIMS 8 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 5,916, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 5,916, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 10,034 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 559,960.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 981, which is 60 more than on Wednesday. There are 142 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 8 more than on Wednesday.

The new cases include:

*1,434 in Multnomah County

*1,400 in Washington County

*1,073 in Marion County

*776 in Clackamas County
