ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED BURGLARY INCIDENT

Roseburg Police cited a man following an alleged burglary incident on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 9:45 p.m. officers responded to an alarm in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, and found a door pried open. The suspect was unaware officers were inside investigating when he came back to re-enter the business through the damaged door.

The 25-year old was detained and in possession of a pry bar that was found during a consent search of his backpack. The suspect also had a warrant. New charges included first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary and for possession of a burglary tool. He was released after being cited due to COVID-19 precautions at the Douglas County Jail.
