January 19, 2022 3:15 a.m.

Roseburg Police cited a Roseburg man for an alleged trespass and drug offense incident early Tuesday.

An RPD report said at about 1:15 a.m. an officer saw a suspect standing at the donation bins at the Salvation Army in the 3000 block of Northeast Stephens. The officer contacted the 32-year old and pointed out the no trespassing signs. During their contact, the suspect allegedly dropped a large flashlight and acted very suspicious afterwards.

The officer cited the man for second-degree criminal trespass, and he walked away. The officer then located a misdemeanor amount of methamphetamine under the patrol car, so contacted the suspect again. He was given a second citation, this time for a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of meth.

The man was then released, again.
