COVID-19 CLAIMS 10 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 5,893, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 10 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 5,893, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 28,037 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 541,415. The total reflects data from between Friday and Monday.

*10,232 confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 were reported on Friday.

*6,062 cases were reported on Saturday.

*4,558 cases were reported on Sunday.

*7,185 cases were reported on Monday.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 911, which is 51 more than on Monday. There are 152 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Monday.

The new cases include:

*4,995 in Multnomah County

*4,093 in Washington County

*2,764 in Marion County

*2,081 in Deschutes County
