COVID-19 CLAIMS 13 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 5,883, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 13 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 5,883, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 8,672 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 513,391.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 811, which is 34 more than on Thursday. There are 153 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 9 more than on Thursday.

The new cases include:

*1,660 in Multnomah County

*1,184 in Washington County

*806 in Clackamas County

*787 in Marion County
