AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY UNTIL 12:00 P.M. MONDAY

January 14, 2022 4:20 a.m.

An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect until 12:00 p.m. on Monday for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said poor air quality is expected. Stagnant conditions will trap smoke and other air pollutants near the ground where people breathe.

The Advisory area also includes Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County.

Forecasters said stagnant air is likely to result in diminishing air quality with time, especially in and near areas with significant sources of air pollution. Diminished air quality is likely to cause health issues for people with respiratory problems if precautions are not taken.
