A Roseburg man was jailed for driving while suspended and for warrants, by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office early Thursday.

A DCSO report said at 3:30 a.m. a deputy was traveling on Ingram Road in Green when he noticed a suspicious vehicle to the north. The vehicle saw the deputy’s headlights and stopped in the middle of the road. As the deputy got closer, the suspect realized who he was and began driving southbound, picking up speed. The vehicle turned into a nearby business and parked and the driver immediately got out and went inside.

After confirming that the driver had warrants, the deputy went into the business and took him into custody. The 37-year old was held without bail.
