Roseburg Police cited a woman for second-degree child neglect on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. an employee of a business called dispatch after a juvenile female was allegedly left inside a running vehicle while an adult shopped inside the store in the 1500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. An officer arrived on scene and stayed with the vehicle until the adult returned. It was determined the child had been left inside the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes.

The woman was cited and released from the scene.
