In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Actors Community Theatre will have its production of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on stage soon.

The plot involves a group of 6 misfit adolescents who compete in the high-spirited event for the chance of a lifetime title, Spelling Bee National Champion. The play is recommended for audiences age 16 and older.

The production opens Thursday, January 20th and then runs Fridays through Sundays through February 13th. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.uact-theatre.com.
