MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ELUDE INCIDENT

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man following an alleged elude incident on Sunday.

A DCSO report said at about 4:15 p.m. a deputy saw the suspect driving on Willis Creek Road when he attempted to make a U-turn. The suspect stopped his vehicle in the 100 block of Raleigh Drive. He and a passenger fled when the deputy caught up to them. After a short time, and attempting to create a perimeter, the man turned himself in.

The 40-year old was charged with attempting to elude and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail. Deputies were unable to locate the passenger.
