One person was jailed and one was cited following an alleged theft incident on Saturday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 4:00 p.m. both people were detained during an unrelated theft investigation at a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The man initially claimed he was the person officers were looking for, but later said he misunderstood officers and was not the suspect. While verifying his identity, officers learned he had a warrant for his arrest. He was also identified as a suspect from a different theft in December. The woman was found to have a warrant out for her arrest and was entered as a missing person.

The man was cited and released, while the woman was jailed. Her missing status was removed.
