WOMAN JAILED AFTER ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

A 28-year old woman was jailed after an alleged assault incident on Wednesday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 12:05 a.m. a caller said there was a disturbance in the parking lot of a business in the 400 block of Main Street in Canyonville. The suspect was described as being extremely intoxicated and for an unknown reason, started pulling a victim out of a vehicle by her hair.

The report said witnesses tried to pull the suspect away, but one of them got punched in the face, causing swelling and substantial pain. One of the victims wanted to press charges.

Angelia Tellez was charged with 4th-degree assault, 2nd-degree disorderly conduct and for harassment. Bail for Tellez was set at $11,250.
