STATE BREAKS HIGHEST DAILY COVID-19 CASE TOTAL AGAIN

Tuesday’s report on COVID-19 cases in Oregon shows that the state broke the highest daily case total, for the second report in a row.

COVID-19 has claimed 44 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 5,710, as of Tuesday. An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 4,540 new daily cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 435,453.  The previous highest daily case total was set last Thursday, when there were 3,534 cases of COVID-19, as reported on Monday.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 510, which is 12 more than on Monday. There are 111 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 more than on Monday.

The new cases include:

*786 in Multnomah County

*652 in Clackamas County

*610 in Washington County

*443 in Lane County
